The winners of the 2010 Devon Shield were Honiton winning 3-2 against Crediton.
The winners of the 2010 Devon Shield Plate were Plymouth University winning 4-1 against Okehampton.
The finals for the Devon Shield were held on Friday 26th March at Devon & Exeter.
I would like to thank Adam for hosting the event. Also the markers on the night David Morris, David Hughes, Chris Woodruff and Ben Gilbert.
In the main final Honiton were only able to bring down 4 players. Even though Crediton were given the match at string 5 it went to 2 all. The final match of the Cup was between Neil Collins (Crediton) and Chris Woodruff (Honiton). The score ending up 3-1 to Chris giving Honiton the win.
In the plate Plymouth University took control winning their first 2 matches. Arnie Searle (Okehampton) took the next 3-1 keeping them in the match. The University taking the 4th match making it a win to Plymouth University.
Plymouth University also won the 4th Division. This is their first year in the leagues and I would like to congratulate them on their win, lets hope their success continues and maybe they will enter another team next year.
