The finals for the Devon Shield were held on Friday 1st April at Devon & Exeter.
I would like to thank Adam for hosting the event and also the markers on the night, Dean Clayton, David Hughes, Karen Bealey.
The Cup was between Devon & Exeter & Torquay. D&E went 2-0 up and then with Dave Palmer (Torquay) claiming a 3-2 win over Mike Gregory (D&E) it was 2-1. Then with Stuart Perret (Torquay) going 2-0 against Rob Watkins (D&E) it looks like it would all be down to the last match. Unfortunatly Rob managed to change the match around and win 3-2 giving D&E the match. James Snell then went on to win 3-1 giving D&E a 4-1 win.
In the plate final were Exeter University & Newton Abbot. Unfortunatly for the University there were a couple of players away which meant it was an easy match for Newton Abbot who won 5-0.
